I’m sorry, I just love bad alliteration. Even though we are already a week into class (and it feels even longer), this is, in fact, my first blog post since the winter break. I thought I’d share with you what I listened to this break. It’s a little unusual, but this is a playlist I recommend for math majors. Over the break, I did some freelance work for a website that required me to type up the solutions to 900 high school precalculus problems, which ate up the majority of my time. I found that in order to maintain some semblance of sanity while doing problem after problem for hours on end, I needed some kind of music in the background. Curiously enough, I found that the lovably over-the-top nature of these couple of 80s gems somehow made 100 problems on sums of geometric series somewhat more bearable. So, without further ado, I would like to (re)introduce you to the musical stylings of Peter Gabriel and Depeche Mode(yeah, I know, I was hoping that playing it repeatedly while doing math problems would kill it for me when I discovered I kinda liked the song)
