For all the shit that Miley Cyrus gets, her new album Bangerz doesn’t make my ears bleed in the slightest. In fact, I’ve found a new respect for the twerking crop-top-wearing individual. Granted, a couple of songs off the album don’t contain the most meaningful content (side note: they are quite catchy, though). However, I cannot stop replaying “Adore You.”
It’s the album’s opening track and the tenderness and love in her voice hits me every time. The song has a mix of R&B and pop vibes, and the lyrics are simple yet powerful. “Adore You” is the pre-heartbreak version of “Wrecking Ball.” Though you still might be doubtful that Miley can produce quality music, just take a listen for yourself.
