Artists to Watch: MisterWives

A couple Fridays ago I was at Brighton Music Hall to see The Royal Concept but I left with a new obsession: MisterWives.

A cool blend of folk, dance, soul, and pop, this five-piece band is massively fun on stage and leaves a great first impression. Frontwoman Mandy Lee never stops moving and interacting with the crowd while she pours her heart into each carefully-crafted lyric. She is also strikingly beautiful and I have zero shame admitting that I have a serious girl crush on her. I dare you to watch the video below and not feel the same way.

This song, “Imagination Infatuation,” was how they ended their set. The song that I have on repeat right now is “Coffins,” which is posted below. Unfortunately, you’ll have to settle for listening to them on SoundCloud because their EP won’t drop until January 7th.

You can learn more about MisterWives on their website and listen to more of their music here until Reflections is released next month.
